This week's FREE White Swan Wednesday offering comes from the offbeat, uplifting, dancey, trancey and ultimately beautiful mantra journey, Sharanam, by Jivamukti Yoga co-founder Sharon Gannon. The paraphrased translation of this mantra, remixed by ace of bass Sean Dinsmore, is an idea we think we can all get behind: "May all beings everywhere be happy and free…May my thoughts and actions contribute to that happiness." To that, we say "Amen!" As always, if you Like this track, please Share it. Thanks!
translation: Lokah: location; samastah: same; sukhino: joy, happiness; bhav: divine mood; antu: may this be so.
May all beings be happy and free, and may the thoughts words and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.
Chanting this mantra awakens the power of compassion within our hearts, enabling us to live our lives free of violent thought, word or action. All beings will feel safe in our presence because we will not desire to abuse them, eat them or harm them in any way.
The broad range of electrifying music from the post-colonial Cape Verdean islands right after they achieved freedom is captured here in all its brilliance. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 2, 2017
