In the Baka’s pristine world of trees, listening acutely to the forest from birth is more than just a matter of survival -- it fosters an exceptional musicality, with exuberantly joyful song and rhythm permeating every aspect of life.

Baka Beyond was born out of Martin Cradick & Su Hart's musical encounters with the Baka People in the forests of Cameroon. From these spontaneous beginnings, Baka Beyond has evolved into a multicultural, dynamic live show delivered by musicians hailing from the Celtic fringes of Europe and the West coast of Africa.

Through Global Music Exchange –dubbed “One Heart” by the Baka women – Baka Beyond give back to the rainforest culture that inspired them. Proceeds from their CD sales fund projects that help keep the Baka culture intact and preserve their way of life--a harmonious stewardship of their threatened natural environment.
